Are all paper towels compostable?
Are all paper towels compostable?
Not all paper towels are compostable. Many contain chemical additives that make them unsuitable for industrial composting. It is advisable to use paper towels specifically marked as compostable if you want to dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way. However, the towels usually end up in the general waste after use anyway - so you should use recycled paper towels wherever possible.

Which trash can do paper towels go in?
Used paper towels usually belong in the general waste. This is because they often come into contact with moisture, soap or other substances and therefore cannot be properly disposed of as pure paper in the waste paper bin. Separate disposal of paper towels is important to ensure efficient processing of normal paper waste.

Which is more hygienic/sustainable: paper towels or cloth towels?
Paper towels are more hygienic because they are only used once and therefore cannot transmit germs. Cloth towels, which are washed at regular intervals, are more sustainable, but only one towel should be used by one person. For hygiene reasons, cloth towels are therefore generally not an option for guests in the catering industry.
Where do paper towels go?
Where do paper towels go?
There are various dispensing systems for paper towels. There are roll holders where guests can tear the sheets they want from the roll themselves, or sensor dispensers where dispensers automatically dispense towels when movement is detected. Better-Pack's paper towels are particularly suitable for classic folding dispensers where guests pull out their sheets themselves and the next sheet is already prepared thanks to the clever folding.
What is the difference between C-fold and Z-fold?
What is the difference between C-fold and Z-fold?
The difference between C-fold and Z-fold is simply the way the towels are folded. With a C-fold, the towels are folded in such a way that they resemble a "C" when folded, while with a Z-fold, the towels form the pattern of a "Z". Depending on the dispensing system (check the manufacturer's instructions!), one folding is more suitable than the other, but in principle there is no difference in quality.
