In Germany, certain single-use plastic items have been banned since July 3, 2021. This also includes single-use plastic drinking cups! Reusable plastic cups, on the other hand, are still allowed because reusable products, although made of plastic, save material and resources through reuse.

Many paper cups have a thin plastic coating, which is why they often end up in the general waste, even though they are mostly made from the renewable raw material paper. We therefore recommend that you either distribute rPET cups to your customers, as these can be recycled very easily. Or you can use paper cups without a coating - these are even biodegradable and therefore particularly environmentally friendly.
